I was referring to android 8.1 as "OLD" the firmware.
The "hard" reset was a my question on how to get to the android OS and perform a reset.

If you need to enter the developer mode, please find "about device" in the settings, and then click your firmware version number several times, it will start

If you need to perform a factory reset, there will be in Settings "System" reset options

I’m not sure what you said about resetting the firmware in Android mode, but you can choose to burn the firmware through an SD card, so that you can burn through the box itself, but SD may not be successful

Do you have any tips suggestions on how to perform the usa cable firmware update?

After installing the burning tool, a driver will be automatically installed. If there is no driver, your computer will not be able to recognize your TV box and you will not be able to burn the firmware successfully

Hi Ivanm.

When you upgrading to a major Android version, example; v8.x.y.z to v9.x.y.z, you must use the Amlogic USB Burning Tool method. This of course will cause all customizations to be lost, including data files like photos, videos, music, documents and also apps and games that was installed.

When one can use the Beelink SD Card packages, which will leave most customizations and data untouched. However you must NOT be trying to jump major version. So upgrading Android from v8.1 to Android v8.3.7.3 for instances, SD Card package is good to be used.

I tried to create a post over a week ago and it's still "under moderation" and isn't posted. How are we supposed to get help if other users can't see our threads?

Hey all.
I've got a GT1 Mini that i've used since 2019 (I think)
I would like to update it to the latest release but it's never taken an update yet, I get too confused as to which firmware it actually needs.

Can you please help me?
