Hi,

I have updated to the latest firmware (910).
The box easly go to 50c temp after 60 minutes of playing youtube (480p) when I check using CPU Temp apps.

And when playing games (i.e Aspalth 8) the temp will reach 60+.
Is this normal operating temperature?

I haven't use this box more than 6 hours in a day, and I'm concern with this operating temp the box if I using it all day.

Thanks for  the answer.
It's just the box (when I put my hand on it) is hotter than any tv box that I own before.
Or maybe it's because this box using metal case so it's very good in transfering the heat, and my other box use plastic case.

Yes 50 - 79C is normal for ARM SOC.
Don't worry. I have played 720p Video for 3 - 4 hours non stop and the temp was around 69 - 72c which is normal for arm soc. Some soc can reach upto 89C also.

Nothing will happen even if you use it all day as if the temperature reach above 70C then it will trottle the cpu frequency to control the temp and it will get back to under 70.

Enjoy your device and don't look at temp app much ;)

Yes maybe the other device CPU is not as powerful as this device, as this is a very powerful CPU so it does have a higher heat generation but it nothing that will harm the device.

Enjoy :D

This is normal temperature of operation for ARM devices

You don't have to worry about it much.
