Hi,

I have a GT pro serial number S922HHQ***** which I recently upgraded OTA to firmware 909P0

Since then I have had an issue with the picture dropping out randomly.  For a small second I get a flash of static grey background and maybe a flash of colour before it goes black for a second and then the picture shows again ok.  This might not happen until the box has been on for an hour but once it happens, it happens frequently. Sometimes every 10 or so seconds.

This happens on the plain android launcher screen and in apps, so its not related to Kodi where I mostly see it.
It only seems to be related to the screen or HDMI as if leave kodi running as a DLNA server and get my tv to stream from it, it plays without interrruption.

It is plugged directly in to my TV's (LG C8) HDMI port and I have tried other ports too.  I do have an AV receiver attached to the tv for surround sound via ARC.

The timing of the problem starting at the firmware update might be coincidence but that is the only thing that changed from when it was working ok.

Any advice?  Is it a known issue or a hardware fault maybe?

Any help appreciated!

I did a slow motion video record to capture what happens.  In the video paused playback you can also see the other frames at the bottom.  Even though the video says it happens over 14 seconds because of the slow motion, it actually happens in about 1 or 1.5 seconds.
Please ignore the play button and Travel music icon, below is a screenshot from my phone, not a video and the Travel is music it tries to put over slow motion videos :)

Also for info, the bias lighting is not powered from the box.

I think you can revert back to previous working firmware.

I flashed the latest firmware via my computer and the screen drop outs are still there.  I use my box to play video daily so I need to fix this fast otherwise the box is useless to me and I will have to buy a new one if a different brand.

Have tried booting openelec and it doesn't have the problem so not a hardware issue.  Bee-link firmware Is to blame. Leaving this so long without a fix after introducing the problem will make me think twice about buying beelink in future. I need some android features so using CoreElec is not a fix for me
