Hi, can anyone help?

I have a BT3 and I'm trying to get a 64bit OS on the box as a couple of apps I want to use are only available in 64 bit.  I've tried using windows media creation tool, Rufus and the tutorial on here with the 1809 version and whatever I try, the thing simply won't boot from USB. I've tried 2 differnt USB sticks too.  I've changed the UEFI boot order to only boot from USB, I've tried the USB in all the USB ports.  Nothing.  Whatever I do it just boots up the OS as normal.

I think I read somewhere that it may work if I replace the boot.wim file with the 1709 verion, but where on earth will I find that. Most of the old Mega links are dead?

Any hep would be much appreciated. The box is great, running the latest version of win10 happily on the 32bit version but I need to get it onto 64bit.

Cheers

Steve

Yes. I can bring up the option to choose the boot drive. But when I pick the USB it ignores it. Same when I go into the BIOS settings and change the boot order.  Just not having any luck.

No problem w/ BT3 Pro II and booting up off of the Windows 10 Install - bootable USB Flash drive created by Rufus 3.8 from ISO downloaded by Windows Media Creation Tool.

Used the default Rufus settings, Partition scheme: GPT, Target system: UEFI (non CSM) ... File system: FAT32.

Try different USB Flash drive, might be your problem.

Is the existing Windows 10 installed under UEFI mode, or Legacy BIOS mode?

That isn't needed. I installed Windows 10 latest, the Nov 2019 release downloaded via Windows Media Creation Tool and using Rufus to create the bootable USB Flash drive. No problem booting off of the USB Flash drive to Windows 10 Installation setup.

Hi everyone.  Thanks for the advice and sorry I only just replied (access to the forum has been on \ off for me).

I have tried 2 USB sticks, one that had been used to build a PC before. But always as NTFS.  I'll try again with Rufus \ Media Creation and FAT32 to see what happens.

I have a UEFI BIOS with very limited options.  If it means anything, my Intel BT3 SN: 8300EKEG90069

If that doesn't work... Davolifranco I hace PM's you my mail address.

Thanks

Yes there's been lot of issues visiting the Beelink forums, I have reported it. Hopefully when Beelink returns, they will work this out.

Having the same issue here.  If possible can I get that boot.wim file from the 1709 image? I can PM a spot to send the file.
