How To Fix Picture Quality Etc

If like me you have bought a box (SA9X) and thought about sending it back or binning it because the picture looks washed out you need to try going to Droid Settings/Display and turning to OFF the SD to HDR setting. Now the picture on my TV looks great. Also maddeningly if you use an external remote like the Rii and the back button doesn't work the only work around is to install Button Mapper app and use the custom button option to map your button to "back" and it'll work again. Crazy stuff....

YES ...  i noticed the same thing with picture quality, but it kinda makes sense because the box is trying to 'upscale' the video and as a result screen fonts become .. for lack of a better word .. 'smaller'  and the brightness / contrast of the video output changes drastically.  So i leave it disabled UNLESS i am watching a downloaded full 4K video/movie.

As for your button problem, my external remote ( Air Mouse,G7 Backlit Mini Keyboard Remote Control ) does not have that problem.
