Hi,

I've owned a Gt-King for a couple of weeks now. Every Android App I install that plays video streams (TVMucho, MXPlayer, BSPlayer, VLC) all get random black screens and loss of video/sound in a middle of a stream. The stream resumes in 2-3 seconds.

If I plug my old Android 4.4 box in (same apps) then the streams are perfect, no cut-outs.

I have every OTA update applied (most recent was offered and installed yesterday).

Any ideas Beelink? I need a solution please, or back goes the box.

Hi wombat.

You might want to compare resolution and other display settings between the two boxes. Also what is your TV information? Is it 4K? Are you doing 1080 HD streaming? Also what is your old box information?

I was playing a stream last night (1080 resolution film, so HD) and it via BSplayer app. It blacked out 4 or 5 times in the movie for a few seconds. Then again, I use TVmucho to get English TV abroad (I am in France) and that did the same thing a couple of times, and that was SD resolution, in fact not even that since I'm on a free plan. All Android streaming apps suffer the blips, it's not one particular app.

My TV is 4K, it's a Samsung Q90 OLED, so very new. 4K movies in Netflix and Amazon using THEIR app in the Smart TV are fine. It's just the GT-Android box that seems to blip. My new Samsung TV is much bigger and higher spec than my old Samsung TV. I play games in HD, no blips there (Nintendo etc).

My old Android 4.4 box is a T8-S Plus. It does have basic 4K support I think. I tried the 1080 stream today and it did not blip on the old box. Apps are hard to find that work on 4.4 hence my upgrade. TS-8 is slow now too.

My GT is set to highest resolution @ 60hz (default). i thought purchasing the 2nd fastest box to Nvidia would be ok - apparantly not :(

Not sure what else I can do.

Try to change your HDMI cable. For 4K 60Hz connection, must be a good one.

@misu, thanks I'll give that a try. The Beelink one looks a bit flimsy. However, any HDMI cable should be able to play low-res SD quality :(

It doesn't matter what you play. Only the resolution and the refresh rate matters. All content is upscaling to display resolution. Try to lower TV resolution and see what's happen.

@misu I have lots of options in the TV. Do you mean the TV or the GT King? If the GT King, what resolution and refresh rate should I choose?

From GT King settings/droid settings/screen resolution -- try to lower resolution or refresh rate...  but again, if you want 4K 60Hz use a good HDMI cable (out of Beelink box is shitty one).
