On KODI 17 beta 3 acceleration is not working for live TV (tvheadend backend). Acceleration works for local video and even recorded TV programs. Is beelink aware of this problem? Are you working on fixing this bug?

Yes update to 17 and install SPMC in the play store.  You will like both.

Attach keyboard and press "o" button during play LIVE tv. BTW the video with resolution  more that usual SD (720p) is completely unplayable - freezes, slo-mo, de-sync and so on...

Confirmed also, works fine on 16.1 & SPMC but not on latest Kodi, i wonder if this is more issue of the Tvheadend + Kodi than the actual firmware, but it works on other boxes with same configs ..

Kodi 16.1 crashed all the times on my box, is not usable. Kodi 17 doesn't crash but cannot use for Live TV cause of this issue.
Overall this box should not be sold yet, we are making alpha testing for beelink.

Anybody from beelink support team could tell us if this problem has been addressed yet?
Do you know the root cause?

Do you know ...

Might be a tvheadend issue or the lack of Kodi maintainers for the newer amlogic chips/devices.

Read here: http://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=291176 especially post# 3 and below.

Thanks for the link, I already saw the Kodi thread but still is unclear where the problem come from. Did anybody found a solution for that or a least know the source of problem? Is tvheadend? Kodi? GT1?
