Game controller buttons open random apps

I'm using moonlight to stream from my games machine. I have plugged a Wireless XBOX 360 reciever USB dongle into the Beelink GT1. The controller detects and works fine, except for when I press the left dpad, then it asks if shutdown or sleep or restart. If I hold the left dpad it actually does move the cursor left, but when it is released it opens the shutdown/sleep/restart screen.

Similarly, when I use a paired ps3 controller and enable it as a game pad using the Sixaxis Controller app from Dancing Pixel Studios the controller works fine, but the up arrow opens something called "Filebrowser 1.0" and R3 button opens the music app, and some of the other buttons open things as well.

What is causing this behaviour and how do I prevent it?

I also have the same problem with an IBuffalo SNES and a wireless XBOX 360 controller. A few buttons opens programs and I couldn't find a way to deactivate it.

I got the same problem when using PS4 Controller with the Sixaxis Controller app from Dancing Pixel Studios. Most of the controller controls works Ok in the launcher but some buttons are strangely mapped. For instance the d-pad down, left and right works as it should (moves the selection) in the launcher, but d-pad up opens to the file browser!?!? The main problem is that this mapping seems to be global, it works the same in for instance RetroArch!

I would guess the problem lies in the Beelink GT1 firmware. Could someone from Beelink confirm or dismiss this?

If ti is confirmed, please fix this so that we can enjoy playing games with wireless controllers on the GT1.
If it is dissmissed then please give us instructions on how to use our favorite wireless controllers on GT1.

I don't really care about the mappings in the launcher, but I think the d-pad should move around the selection. Make sure it is possible for other applications to override the mappings.

These are the mappings I've see for the PS4 Controller.

Left analog stick: Moves the selection, OK
Touch pad: Moves the mouse arrow, OK
D-pad down, left, right: Moves the selection, OK
D-pad up: Opens the file browser, Not OK
PS Button: Opens up the home screen, OK
Share button: Opens up the select background window
Option button: Opens up the app browser
Triangle button: Return/Cancel
Square button: Select/Enter
Circle button: Goto end
R3 thumb button: Opens up the webbrowser, Not OK
L3 thumb button: Opens up the music app, Not OK

I have the same problem with latest firmware and ps3 controller. Up on the dpad open the file browser.

hi. i have a probox2 air and exact same thing happens as you all describe. i use ps3 dualshock controller

i simply went to ES file explorer, root explorer, uninstall system app. i deleted the ones causing issues (dpad up - file browser, R3 - music app and L3 - movieplayer i think ) as they weren't important for me to use. restart system and everything is fine

funny how my device opens same apps as yours

probox2 air also has dark screen issue but no green flashes. everything else works great

for dark screen issue i raise brightness on tv which works or i play a certain video file and that brightens it

I can try uninstalling the apps but I am not sure what is the name of the file browser that dpad up launch. It is a different one from that I see listed in the installed apps (named FileBrowser).

I  found this http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-pla ... p=490041#post490041 which seems to describe a similar issue and a hack around it, but I haven't had the time to try it.
Seems to be a firmware issue.

my dualshock 3 opens Browser, movie player, and something else like music app. i forget. i have 2 more boxes to set up so i can check

I know, old thread. but this problem make me angry. great device to play with but without game controller support.
