Just asking for information.

You're marketing this as an audiophile device given it has two ESS dacs and Ricore opamps. But why the RS232 port instead of an SPDIF RCA or Toslink port where audiophiles use it?

Because for an audiophile standpoint it is useless.

Firmware upgrade maybe?

Thank you for your prompt clarification. I have imagined this would be the reason (programming).

I do suggest  to include a basic explanation on your marketing adverts. Say "RS232 port (programming)" instead of just "RS232 port" for clarity and avoid misinformation.

Thank you!!

Why does GT-King Pro have an RS232 programming serial port?
1. The general computer provides such an interface, which is convenient to use, and the RS 485 general computer does not have such a port.
2, the expansion performance is stable, suitable for long-term use, programming through the USB port needs to be combined with a network, often broken.
3, the operation is simple, RS232 programming can be directly connected to the program, the USB port needs to be set to ADB mode, relatively complicated operation.
4. The programming in the ADP mode via the USB port can only modify the upper layer software, while the RS232 can modify the lower-layer code and modify the upper layer software code.
5, because our GT-king pro is an open version, in order to facilitate the development of other programmers, we have this RS232 port on the box.
