Wi Fi conection only posibly at 2.4GHz

Using my Gt King and updating a game that can only be done through the Wi-Fi connection, I realized that this TV box only "sees" the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi signal from my router, and it can't catch the 5.8Ghz wireless connection. How can I "open" this faster band? Any advice please?

Can I connect properly using other devices? Can the machine connect properly before upgrading? If it is a problem after the upgrade, try to burn the firmware again.

I have the same problem, only 2.4GHz band appears.  I have reinstalled the latest firmware 904P0 few times but still not working.  I have several devices connected to my router through the 5GHz band so the router is not the problem

Can I connect properly using other devices?: Yes, I have connected 3 Phones, one Smart Tv, one tablet, 2 laptops, and a printer all connected to my LAN, and connected all them to the 5GHz Band without any problem, some of them 2 or 3 walls away and still no problem. (GT King has been just 2 Meters away the router, no walls in between) and still no 5GHz signal.

If it is a problem after the upgrade: I have Upgrade it 2 times now, 5GHz still no life signal.
I think it is a defect direct from hardware box. There is a kind of guarantee? I bought it just a month ago!!:@:@:@

No, they have not been able to solve the problem, They only refer you to the "manual answers" which are basic and idiots guide on how to switch the 5GHz band on.

Hello Frantastik, About 5GHz band connection, I finally got it. In my case was something related MY ROUTER, today I have changed telephone/internet provider, and they gave me a new router, as soon as I connect it, and try Wi-Fi connection on Tv Box I got both bands,2 and 5 GHz.
So probably, you as I use the same kind of router hardware (mine was a optic fiber Comtrend Mitrastar GPT-2541 router) so, if you have a chance to try another one and check it out.
This problem as instability, poor Wi-Fi signal, low range, cuts service internet, lags and other known issues are related to the cheap routers phone companies use to instal.
Hope you'll be lucky as me.
