Skype refusing to connect internet with ethernet plugged in

I installed Skype from play store, but when I try to login, it complains about connection. I do not use wifi only ethernet.

Thanks in advance if someone have a clue how to fix this.

Similar is the case with Hotstar App. I chatted with the app developer. They have designed the like this only.
