With KODI 4K Stream playing

Check this out,what one owner of the King Box(from Freaktab Forum) this is very serious problem!
I also got this problem my ex Box X99 and Colours all washed out! when 4K contents playing!

...I had to disable ?Allow hardware acceleration-MediaCodec(surface) for 4K links to play. Only issue is now the color isn?t vibrant as when playing 1080p, they are a little washed out.

I use internel player, but wanted to try an external player like VLC or MXplayer. On problem with that is there is no ?play using? option in the context menu in kodi.

I would need to create a playercorefactory.xml for this. I looked at creating one, just stuck on what to put in the code to find the location of the apk I want to use. ...

-But above issue,such as for me certainly unacceptable matter! my Box still on the way
and at present its in the Custom Post Office,probably I'll collected my parcel end of week

and in this respect then I'v sold my Box just for this issue,cause of they never fix it!

And its very bad surprise for me again this happen with my new Box King!!

My other RK3399 Boxes no any issue for this also lot of my other Boxes without any "colour washed"
issue too!!

So this Box useless for me!!

Your last ROM also will not fix it this issue too!(above user said this where he flashed your Box last ROM)
"Colour washed" issue remain unchanged!

So might be "CoreElec" a new bug-fix+better video processing etc.,

If not fix it then otherwise all King users(if they use KODI) complain this issue!

There is no color washed when I disabled SDR to HDR.  I have tested GT King on both LG OLED and ASUS HDR monitor.
All my 4K contents (both SDR and HDR) are playing smoothly and correctly using the bundled Qodi 17.6 with the exception
of auto refresh rate change. :)

Have you tried Qodi 18x ???? this colour-washed-out issue?

The color washed out problem is not just affecting Kodi.  Whenever you are using a HDR Display Devices, you need to disable SDR to HDR.  Otherwise, the GT King always running color space BT2020 on HDR display devices and caused color washed out.

The color washed out only happens on HDR display devices. Hope this help.
