I have the same problem. The power indicator is on, but there is no output on the HDMI port and the USB Burning Tool won't recognize my box. Tried short the pins mentioned in the previous post, but nothing has changed. I mean I didn't try it 80 times, but I don't see why it would eventually work.
UPDATE:
Today a I managed to short the pins. I plugged in the usb cable, then the power adapter and kept the power adapter on and then shorted the pins. Windows recognised my device and the USB Burning Tool failed with error. Then I unplugged everything, then plugged again, and the USB Burning Tool succeeded. Now my box is working again.
