Hello, I'd like to upgrade the 128BG mSATA disk with a 500GB one.

I found two suitable products:
- Samsung MZ-M6E500BW SSD 860 EVO, 6 gb/s, 96 euro;
- Kingston SUV500MS/480G, speed not specified, 71 euro.

Are they compatible with gemini X55 Ultimate?

Anybody knows the speed of the kingston disk and if the X55 ultimate can take advantage of the 6gb/s?

Besides: is this machine still il production? I can't find it anymore in the product page.

Thanks a lot and Best Regards
Alessandro, Italy

I use the MyDigitalSSD 240 GB mSATA SSD in my X55 Ultimate.  The 480GB (512GB) mSATA SSD 6GB/sec SATA III (MDMS-SB2-0512) is US $94.99, which is about 85 Euros.  My 240GB mSATA has been fast, reliable, and came with over-provisioning already set up by the controller.  The other two you mentioned should work too.  My 240GB provided some speed increase, but the X55 (and its brothers) are rather limited machines so a speed increase like moving from a mechanical hard drive to an NVMe M.2 drive will not happen.  I wanted more drive space, the speed increase was a welcome byproduct.

Hope this helps.
