I have bought a Beelink S2 Gemini Lake N5000 with  a 2.5 inch HDD bay.  Its  expandabilitywith a larger SSD was decisive in my purchase.

When I plugged the SSD, it was not detected by the BIOS. During lots of trials and errors, including miscellaneousconfigurations of  the BIOS, I havenoticed that sometimes it gets recognized.

I am sure that it is never detected after a shutdown from anyof the drives. The times it is recognized are the restarts initiated from Windowsboots in any of the drives, including the new 2.5 inch SSD and USB drives.  A non-windows restart or power button startwas a non-starter or dead end.

In conclusion, Beelink S2 Gemini Lake N5000 is not SSDupgradable unless its BIOS is updated in a way to support  an SSD.

hi friend
Beelink S2 supports 2.5-inch SATA port SSD. The newly purchased hard disk needs to be added to the disk management of the machine, otherwise it cannot be directly identified in my computer.

best regards

Dear Administrator,

Have you read my post? And have you ever used any pc?

Would you please tell me how a new SSD can be added in "disk management" if it is not detected by the BIOS?

"Disk management" is a Windows 10 component and all Windows operations are based on the inputs by the BIOS, which is prior to Windows. If the BIOS does not detect any SSD, there is nothing to be identified in "my computer".

Kind regards

Dear Ad ...

Check your newly plugged hard drive in your disk management and create a new simple volume to add your hard drive to your computer.

I have just checked it, it is not there. I cannot create a new simple volume right now because it is not there.

For your information, I have already added it by creating a new simple volume but I still cannot see it in 'disk management'.

The SSD we tested is 2.5-inch Samsung 128G SATA. The test can be used normally. Please try to replace the hard disk, or plug your hard disk into other machines to check if it can be used normally.

I have tested several 2.5 drives in my Beelink s2 without issue. At one point I had an issue like you described, but it cleared when I researched the drive. Not sure if it was the connector and the restating cleared it or just the fact that I power cycled the system. I am assuming you've tested another drive in the 2.5 slot? Good luck
