Device arrived December 2018
SN: LPN1GBNH*****
Android 7.1.2
Kernel Ver 3.14.29
gwx@AZW#1
Fri Aug3 20:01:03 CST 2018
Build 709N1

I am unable to get this thing to boot from SD card for the life of me!
Using an img file to dual boot LibreElec or CoreElec with no luck.

Is there something in this versions bootloader that prevents it?
I can boot to the recovery menu but thats it.

That really did not help.

Through my own investigation I found that I had to be "Super User" (via terminal command - su)
Then "reboot update" for it to work - every time.

Thanks for all the help here.

I had installed 8.2.2.3 (S912.arm) with Kodi 17.6
Worked well - I am only using Kodi for the Plex Addon and a couple of others - not for organizing my library or anything.
It boots fast off the SD card - probably a bit faster then the original android.

I am now using the KODI app on the original install - KODI 18.0-RC1 from Nov 2018.
It is working well - still configuring things to the way I want.

Ok, 8.2.2.3 is indead working, besite the remote, but with a USB (wireless) mouse it is working fine. The newer versions are not working, so I now use the orginal Android (7.1.2) with Kodi 18.0-RC5. With some tweaks (advanced.xml settings) it's working very well. I'm streaming 1080p movies from my NAS, and use IPTV for live television.
