GX-1 Remote doesn't work out of the box

My new GX 1 remote doesn't work. The first popup screen asks to select language. I can't even select "English." The remote does nothing, new batteries installed. This is before programming it to my TV remote. Am I missing something.

1. Our remote control can be used with the battery installed. Please make sure that you purchased the remote control for the Beelink GT1. The following is the GT1 remote control purchase link.

2. Please confirm that the battery is installed correctly. Press the button and the indicator on the front will flash.
3. Please make sure that there is nothing wrong with your use. Align the remote control with the GT1 box and keep it within 10 meters.
4. If there is no problem above, but the remote control still does not work, please contact the seller to return.
