I've been trying to install Debian without success.
I fetched the ISO from https://cdimage.debian.org/debia ... 0-amd64-netinst.iso and burned 3 different USB dongle with Rufus, Unetbootin and UltraISO (following the tutorial from Ubuntu) but no luck. I tried different USB dongles without success.
Secure Boot is disabled in the Bios. I can select the boot device but it just hangs few ns later with a blank screen and a white cursor.
I tried Ubuntu desktop, like in the tutorial, with UltraISO and Rufus. The result is the same and I only get a white mouse that I can move on a black screen. Nothing more.
Any idea of what might be happening ?
PS: I'm daily using Linux for work and setup several Raspberry Pi and laptop on Linux before but I never faced that problem.
I finally managed to install Ubuntu server version and Centos7, burning the USB with Rufus (no special option selected)
I still have no clue why Debian refuses to install itself.
So, current X55 setup is a small home server with Ubuntu server 18.01 + KVM for running
- pi-hole (installed)
- freenas (in progress)
- jeedom (in progress)
