Unfortunately the firmware package _Mic provided is an OTA package, not a full img for the usb burning tool. Still better than nothing, I guess, but I don't know if I can mess the box up to a point where recovery doesn't work anymore by accident.

Today the update patch finally worked - I cannot say that I had done anything differently than I had previously; on this attempt, I pointed to the saved file on the external SD card (although that had been tried multiple times previously & failed) but this time was successful. All attempts to do 'update now' also had failed multiple times.
The WiFi speed seems to be a bit better since the patch - but still far short of other devices placed in same location.
I would like to option to turn off internal WiFi and use external USB adapter.
Also - can you provide link for Source Code for Wifi/Bluetooth chipset AW-CM273SM Driver for developer

Sorry, I didn't see that post before writing - this forum is giving me nuts somehow. Anyway, do you mean the patch to 20160919? Do you have a zip to put on sdcard for this OTA? I only tried via the built-in online updater.
