I connected usb  to my GT1. When  I am trying to create a new folder from kodito save toit or to backup, I get a message that says " make sure selectedfolder iswriteable and that the new folder name is valid".
the usb is writeable andthe name is ok.
The usb is formatted to NTFS and it seen by both kodi and gt1
What is the problem?

This is the native behavior of Android 6.

What you can do to write to it is having the folder path of the application that will write to it

i.e. to have kodi write to the usb you need the folders Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\ then Kodi will have the rights to write in that particular folder.

The other way would be to change the permissions but root is needed and not provided by Beelink.

thanks for this awesome description of the permission problem.
over many hours i have checked the problem and analysed log files etc.
testet different file explorers like the integrated file explorer v4 in beelink-firmware 1.04, with fatal data loss experience.

i have now inserted all of my movies to the file system directory on difference usb devices and sticks.
alle movies are in access with write-permissions when i inserted in the following folder on each of my usb devices
:\Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\files\

very very thanks for this tip!

does it possibility to get other file system structures in kodi with access with write-permission, like

\movies\action\xxxx

or is the only way to move all my movies to the following directory
:\Android\data\org.xbmc.kodi\files\
