Funny thing is, your 7.1 firmware has caused a lot of user's box to be bricked. U can see users complaining their box bricked after applying 7.1 firmware everywhere.

I don't know about IPTV, but the issue with Netflix ' currently ', and not being able to play Netflix content is directly linked to the dark video ' WORKAROUND '. This affects ANY version of Netflix app (5.x or 4.x) and makes this box dark video playback even more of an issue now.

Hi Beelink. I know you have your hands full right now, giving that you? right? are working on the Android 7 for these boxes. However this issue with the dark videos been a known issue for a very long while now, and still of an issue here. I think I've read some-where that Android 7 beta release contains the fix for dark videos. Is the Android 7 for GT1 Ultimate boxes soon ready for prime-time? Or we still have some waiting period?

Here's the concerns; right now several people around here have just bought Beelink GT1 Ultimate boxes to watch Netflix with their paid for subscriptions. If you use dark video ' WORKAROUND ', then you won't be-able to use Netflix on these boxes. If you don't use the ' WORKAROUND ', then we have issues with dark videos, regardless if it's Kodi or some other video player. Wait..., there's more, It's not just specific to videos but photos also!

Please be patient Beelink, there is just a little more reading involved. There is another issue and using the ' WORKAROUND '. If you use bootvideo, the booting or rebooting of these boxes makes extremely loud noise, volume output to the max of this box. Now consider that most uses these boxes to play videos from Netflix and whatever, the volume is usually low on video playback. People cranks up the TV volume, and those solely using Beelink GT1 Ultimate boxes keeps their TV volume cranked up high. Now we have a serious situation that these boxes could elderly folks a heart-a-attack. If it doesn't it surely would cause harm to people (of any age) eardrums.

We consider Beelink when buying Android TV boxes, please Beelink, consider your customers. Thank you in advanced. :loveliness:

Could you clarify a little? You said destroyed your GT1? You mean that your box doesn't bootup anymore.. aka bricked?

Hi Phant0m, i just got a GT1 ultimate with G912 serial. It was working fine for 2 weeks. The unit was a lot stable than my previous H96+. Until I clicked on OTA update. The screen is blank and unit only has a white light infront.

I tried to reset it through uBoot maker with:
GT1_311M0_AP6255_SS
GT1_312M0_20170504
GT1_313M0oh... and the Android 7.1 update too (GT1_701N0_Beta1)

All of which resulted in a incomplete update. Screen froze. Little white light infront of unit. Seemed like the box is permanently dead. Is that what you meant by bricked?

For starts, you applied the firmware with the AP6255 information. This was meant to be used on GT1 Ultimate boxes with S/N starting with A912, not G912 or S912.

Yes, box is bricked if you don't see a signal to TV when the box is on. Typically you see a white light in-front of the unit. Might have to pin jump it, if you can't fix it up by reprogramming it.

Thanks for the advice, Phant0m. The pin jump process is too daunting to me.

The "GT1_311M0_AP6255_SS" link was first provided to me from the seller. I tried that first before I tried the others. Now they have ruined the unit for me.

Lets try this again ----- the OTA update did not work same as most people it ended in error message. Tried sdcard/usb update using q210-9377-ota-20170525.zip but it kept crashing at the android root screen. Did notice that my build is now showing GT1_313MO but the box is still android 6.0.1 - NAY HELP would be appreciated. GT1-ultimate 3gb box. Tried OTA again - just shows up to date?????

The latest for G912/S912 Ultimate boxes is GT1_313M0_20170519. GT1_313M0 is just an update, not an Android OS upgrade. Android 7 hasn't been released, still only the beta package exists.

You said in your post previous to the last that you would try different updates and all resulted in an incomplete update. Do you actually see a signal to TV screen and the progress bar going so far before It just stops?
