Yes, I manage to bring it alive, but it was a challenge :) Imagine I am on MacBook Pro 2016. Have to done Bootcamp tricks.
I flashed 111M0 by Amlogic USB Burning Tools.
You need to shorten pins on microchip after connecting Male-to Male USB cable.

Can you guide me on the process? This is my first time shorting pins of android box. So I'm being extra careful not to worsen this problem. Thank you in advance :)

Don't need to open the box to downgrade. I used SD BOOTCARD MAKER on windows 7 and created it with the 311MO image. Not the recovery way. Just make sure you get SD BOOTCARD MAKER that allows you to create with an image as the newer version only lets you do Bin files. Once you get it created you just make sure the box is off and insert the micro sd into the box. Stick a pin in the pin hole on the bottom....you should hear a click when you press the button down inside, make sure you can hold that button down for a few seconds after plugging the power back in. The system will then reinstall with 311MO. Its good to note that when I did this, the image on screen while the process was happening was kinda pixellated/ loading bar looked strange, but I left it until it finished and voila. Hope this one helps you out without opening the box up.

I recommended a Beelink GT1 Ultimate to another friend. He received this box this morning and brought it out. The Beelink box came with GT1_312M0 firmware pre-loaded. There was also small update with release date information: 2017-5-9. Anyways the update was successful, kudos Beelink.

However, I've installed only the Youtube and the Google Play Store now continues to crash. Didn't even run Youtube, so Google Play Store app still the same version that's pre-loaded with the Beelink box. Re-boot and wait a minute or two and Google Play Store crashes again.

Why doesn't Beelink offer updated apps with its firmwares? The Google Play Store along with Google Play Services versions is a year or older.

Also the WiFi when not being used, can time-out and the WiFi feature disabled and cannot be turned back on. Same experience across multiple Beelink GT1 Ultimate boxes. However, at least re-booting bring it back online with the later firmwares.

I can confirm that Frank's solution that was posted on 2017-03-10 on Beelink forum here, to update Google Play Store, addresses the constant issue with Google Play Store has stopped.

Since addressing the Google Play Store issue, the WiFi is stable.

Beelink... please release 7.1 unroot and don't use test-key firmware. This will make some IPTV app not working. Make root as optional. Please bring this to your developer team or whoever working for the firmware.
