@Phant0m`` This Box is quite new, quite cheap, from small brand - and it's well known that support ist sub-optimal for these.. however beelink appears to be one of the best around regarding support. How much is the buck? This is certainly a very individual viewpoint - what I meant is hi-tech for low money in comparison to products like sh*eld for instance. I'm also an owner of a (working) GT1 ultimate - so I hope beelink wants to be even more outstanding on support issues. Keep on trying - and yes, FOTA would be the best way for this.
Cheers,
swiss

I know cheap boxes, I could have bought S912 3G 32GB off of ebay for fraction of what I've paid to Beelink Amazon.ca. I was counting on product support when I've bought Beelink product. I'm yet to see product support that was actually helpful to date since having bought this product.

@konsta13: You saying there was a firmware update available via Beelink OTA Updater? Because there is no way you've updated via SD Card method with this supposedly SD Card version release.

It may look like SD Card firmware package but It isn't. The SD Card firmware update package includes zip archive not an .IMG. So they put in a ROM firmware, so you can't update via SD Card method.

The previous WiFi fix also had SD Card option, and that package again didn't have the Zip archive file,  however the contents as a sub-folder which was suppose to be properly archived and linked to via factory_update_param.aml. However this fix, like the previous factory_update_param.aml was also not correct.

I'm well aware of Burn Card Maker, just as I am with Amlogic USB Burning Tool. konsta13.. all you doing is a workaround which isn't even officially supported thus far.

Two types of firmware that Beelink typically posts. ROM firmware that you use with a computer and Amlogic USB Burning Tool. The ROM firmware is the complete package and when applying the ROM you loose all your Android settings and customization like installed Apps and Games and all their customizations. There is no difference to using Burn Card Maker and working with a ROM firmware type, you update by this means, and you back to square zero.

And for a WiFi fix, I hardly doubt that anyone whom put time into customizing their box before the WiFi issue re-appeared, would appreciate being put back to square zero and re-do every-thing.

Therefore we have the ROM that is a full reprogramming of the box using utility like  Amlogic USB Burning Tool and PC.

SD Card versions that are just the changes to the firmware that you put on the SD Card, small in size typically, and It just updates, doesn't put you back to square zero.

To date, no SD Card version that works to simply update the Beelink GT1 Ultimate boxes to have the WiFi issue addressed.
