Method of operation:
1、Install the software(setup.exe)
2、Open the software(Launch rtumdfsample.exe)
3、Click 'open' to import firmware
4、Insert USB cable to 'USB 3.0' port on board
5、Power on
6、Waiting for burning to 100%

For Kodi just go into Google play store and install Kodi 17.1, worked for me or go to Freaktab.com and try Superceleron's FTMC.  Just an FYI either use Kodi 17.1 or FTMC you can't have both due to they share the same directory locations.  I am still on version 101 for updates.

Why wasn't Qodi/Kodi included in our Beelink SEA I?  Based on your forum, the open source version of this software doesn't support the built-in decoder in the Beelink SEA I. Will you provide us with your version?

When is the next updated firmware due to release?

If the next firmware release repairs the SATA hard drive issue, what is the suggested hard drive structure, example: MBR and FAT32, or FAText, or EXT 4, Or ?

Will the OpenWrt issues be addressed in the near future as well? Other users on the forum stated that they were not able to browse their local servers to view content…


5.       

Your forum suggests installing a third party firmware, would doing this void our manufacturer's warranty?

I am unable to see my hard drive or read files from the USB port as well as the card reader port. It also doesn't seem to have any preinstalled software like Kodi. I tried to update the firmware however, it already appears to be up-to-date based on what the box says...  I am hoping you could help me sort these issues out. Also, I did try following the instructions on your forum but the firmware utility didn't seem to see the Beelink Sea i tv Box.

Any help you could provide in helping me sort out the issues I'm having with the Beelink SEA I would be much appreciated.

Step #3 is unclear.
What USB cable do you refer to?
Do you mean save firmware "SEAI_101M0_32G_20170225 RTL1295" to a USB flash drive, and insert the drive to the USB port?
If so, what difference does it make whether it it the 3.0 or 2.0 port?
Can you provide better quality translation for the english instructions please?

My SEA I > System Settings > Media Box > System Update says my version is up to date [ SEA I_101M0_20170225-0000 ].
Is this true or doesn't the SYSTEM UPDATE feature work correctly?
Finally, I cannot access my SEA I's HHD (I installed) via my LAN. The device shows up as "openwrt" but we are unable to connect.
Is there special instruction for connecting to the HDD in the device, or will the firmware update address the problem. I see other's on YOuTube complaining of teh same network connection problem.

I am a little unclear as to what you're asking us to do. You want us to use a USB to USB (A to A) cable to connect our Beelink Sea I to a PC in order to update the firmware. What kind of A to A cable would you like us to use? A bridged cable (with a small circuit board built into the cable)?  Or, a straight A to A USB Cable?

I was under the impression that a non-bridged type A to A USB cable could potentially burn out your system.

Hi there,

Just received this box and was surprised to find no Qodi/Kodi preinstalled.

I figured it would be there in a firmware update and so found this thread.

The versions of the firmware in the first post are no longer available for download, instead there is:

SEAI_102MO_16G_20170321 RTL8821AU
SEAI_102MO_32G_20170322 RTL8821AU

OK fair enough.   I then installed the 16G firmware to match my 16G model box.  (Yes, I used USB A to USB A and followed instructions from first post which worked).

Booted the device, still no Qodi/Kodi.

After failing to find a copy of the Beelink version, I tried Kodi from the Google Play store and had a terrible experience.  The open source version doesn't support the builtin hardware decoder.

This box is being advertised for media. On Gearbest, the product "Customer Questions & Answers" page mentioned KODI is pre-installed.  Without the Beelink version this box is probably useless to a large number of customers.

Beelink, can you please sort this out and make your versions available for download?

I haven’t even gotten as far as you have in resolving some of the same issues. I’m truly depressed to find out Kodi is not going to be available even if I can get the new firmware installed! So, we’re not can I have a hardware decoder to be able to even use Kodi that will work with the Beelink SEA I…

Why isn’t Beelink responding to our questions on this thread?  They also haven’t responded to email…

I guess the only thing to do is to request a degree refund from either Amazon or GearBest
