Let's get the terribly obvious out of the way.
Ensure your power adapter is both connected properly to the proper input on the back of the box as well as plugged into the wall. If this has been completed, check the outlet to confirm it is working properly.
The next thing I would personally try is to turn the device over so you can see the Reset hole.
1. Ensure the power is disconnected from the box
2. Using a needle or something small enough to fit into the hole, push in until you feel the button inside press.
3. Keeping the button pressed, plug in the power cord to the back. Keep holding the button until you see the logo)
What this does is boot into recovery mode. If following these steps you still get nothing, you might have a defective power cord or a DOA box (DOA = Dead Upon Arrival).
If the box is new I would contact whomever you made the purchase through to have them send a new adapter or complete box.
