Cannot Mount GT1 Ultimate on PC Drive E misc error

Hi
I ghave a GT1 Ultimate with Android Version 6.  Tried to upgrade to version 7 using USB flash app and downloaded verion 7 disk image.  When connecting GT1 to USB and pressing the reset on GT1 get above error message that cannot mount drive E /misc error.  What did I do wrong? Please help.  Thanks in advance.

You can't upgrade from 6.x to 7.x via SD Card.

You'll have to make either Bootable SD Card with the EPROM file and Amlogic Burn Card Maker Utility. Or use Amlogic USB Burning Tool and working by this means. Both means you'll have to re-do everything from scratch.

I am using Amlogic USB Burning Tool installed with the driver on a PC.  After loading the image into the Burning Tool, I inserted the USB connected to GT1 into a PC USB port while simultaneously pressing the reset with a pin, but nothing happened.  The GT1 is not recognised by the PC or the burning tool (nothing displayed).
What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance.

Update:  Changed the USB cable and it worked perfectly.  My GT1 Ultimate 32GB is now at Android 7.1.2  Thanks! :)
