My first Nexus custom ROMs on Nougat are now available for the Beelink GT1:

TVStock variant (Android TV 7.1): http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-pla ... -rom-android-tv-7-1
Nano (Android 7.1 essentials) and Stock (Android 7.1 fully loaded) variants:  http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-pla ... us-roms-android-7-1

Because of some compatibility issues with Beelink's Nougat releases for the GT1, this custom ROM is actually a hybrid.  It uses the bootloader and kernel from the GT1_702N0 release with a system partition based on the Mecool M8S Pro.  These were both loaded with drivers for the Qualcomm QCA9377 (or compatible chipsets like the Long LTM8830), but I hope to soon have a Nougat update available for the AMPAK AP6255 chipset.

A full TWRP recovery (v.3.1.1-0) is also included.

These Nexus ROMs are designed in the spirit of the Pure Nexus Project, to deliver the pure Android experience using the Open GApps packages. The goal is to keep true to Google's vision and use the bare minimum of OEM or third-party apps or add-ons, which can be added à la carte by the user as needed. I believe these ROMs are stable enough for general use, but don't be surprised if some features from the Nexus Player or NVIDIA Shield TV aren't fully implemented. This will be particularly true of features that require a secure platform (Widevine Level 1) for DRM requirements.

HI there

First thank you so much for this great ROMs, i´ve try them all and they look silk and smoth... at this moment i have the nano version installed its fast and clean the wireless problem seems to be over (Connecting/disconnectin), but the 3D games like Asphalt, Real Racing and Beach Buggy, still crashes all the time in all the 3 rom versions, at least on my AX12.
On the Beelink Stock Rom i had a problem when connect with ethernet, when i put the box on standby mode and wake it up, the box had IP but i couldn´t go anywhere (Chrome, Play Store), the only solution was to poweroff, so that (for me) seems to be solved.

So again thank you very much for all the effort making this roms for us, hope you keeps on doing it.

Both version, stock and nano works perfectly in AX12 GT1 Ultimate. And also, I want to underline and strong advantage this custom Rom have against Firmaware GT1_704NO_AP6255, I can connect the PS3 controller via Sixaxis, play with it and no pain, in Firmware 704 I can connect my controller also, but a few gamepad's buttons opens programs and is no way to deactivate it. It seems to be a firmware  global mapping. This is discussed in this link http://www.bee-link.com/Beelink-571-1-1.html

Thank you very much @Magendanz

BTW, this has been confirmed by several users to work fine on the GT1 Ultimate.  It also works on all known wireless chipsets (e.g. 9377, 6255, etc.) for the GT1.

Very nice work congrats.  Bring back lighthome launcher with Kodi button and have all apps work on home page, then I'm fully in.

No, that's not going to happen.

You can easily install Kodi from the Google Play Store, of course, but this custom ROM is intended to replicate the "pure" Android TV experience you'd get with a Nexus Player or NVIDIA Shield TV.  The whole point is not to preinstall a bunch of OEM launchers and "value add" applications and add-ons.

In theory, this should work on the GT1 Ultimate, since it includes device trees for 1G, 2G and 3G RAM configurations.  That said, I've only tested on the 2G config because I hard bricked my GT1 Ultimate months ago reverting to an OEM firmware that was posted by Beelink on this forum.

Very nice work really.
I would have tried it (trully) but I don't want to brick my GT1 ultimate.
Did someone try with the GT1 Ultimate?

Hi

I have installed the nano version on my GT1 S912, have been running it for a few hours now, have only installed Kody but I am very impressed, have found it to be very stable so far, everything working as it should be.

Thank You

To be honest , our company also develops the OEM business , the M8S PRO is a neutral product which belongs to our company , so you may find that they are in common in some configuration, it's really true , :lol , thank you for your enthusiasm about our beelink , our AZW .
