OK. I will follow your advice. I will wait and see what happens when I will get a firmware update. BTW I own a beelink ultimate and no firmware update so far.

About Qodi i simply think that the only difference is the name in the launcher (Qodi). In fact when I went to Google Play Market, it said that kodi was installed. i simply uninstalled Qodi from Google Play market....
One last thing about Google play market...did you see that it is impossible to update it???

Yes....Google play store is from Aug 2016 when the security patch updated by Beelink - Unless they released a new security patch as an update it is not possible for the user to update the Google Play Store individually.

My G1 is A912 with stock Firmware 102MO and I use Ethernet connection not WIFI.

I tried latest FW upgrade both via OTA or manually select from USB stick but both failed when it trying to REBOOT and just sit there.

Both my G1s are stock 102MO firmware connecting to 1080p Mitsubishi and Sharp. They don't have any video or darkness issues. I use wired Ethernet only. I just tried to upgrade to latest firmware but using both OTA and manual method still failed when REBOOT, it just freezes. I was able to use the remote POWER button to restart and it reboots back to stock firmware 102MO.
I am currently using Kodi ver 16.1 with my custom build to remove all unwanted stuffs, I am not into game just Movies and sports so far it works very good. On the BeeLink G1 itself I am still using their stock launcher just add Youtube, Netflix, Mobdro, UKTvnow only. Since my settings work well for me I might upgrade one box to Kodi 17.0 later. On my S7 phone I used Kodi 17.0 with my script and it works very well too.

The main problem is the G1 Beelink Upgrade not working for me at all, I hate to hack the box which might cause all sort of problem or shall I say open up a can of worm. If anyone has better method or ideas please advice. Thank you.

i used an app I found in Nexbox forum to remove root and now everything works !!

Can you clarify please ? what is the app name or link from NEXBOX for remove ROOT? and what you mean worked ? re-run OTA again and choose UPDATE NOW?
