GT1 comes with regular Android 6 with some tweaks for TV, but Google is supporting Android TV platform natively for TV.  It provide better support for remote app, google cast, and many apps tailed for TV.
I would suggest Beelink starts to migrate the OS for their boxes to Android TV platform instead of regular Android OS. It is not a simple task, but I think it is the right direction for future.

Thanks

Beelink already has a lot of trouble to fix simple problems, so now that this box is a real android TV.
I think you believe in a god I do not know :)

Stay tuned for the GT1 TVStock Nexus ROMs.  They're based on the GT1 Stock Nexus ROMs linked above, but should deliver the pure Android TV 6.0 experience using the https://github.com/opengapps/ope ... pps TVStock Package.

Yes, that's really our biggest remaining issue.  You can cast from YouTube in the Chrome browser and I've intermittently gotten it to work from the YouTube app, but it's not reliable.  Problem is getting a cast device certificate, which could be related to the hardware keys installed by the OEM on the device.

For AndroidTV firmware made by you, you can actually link phone YouTube app to GT1 Box YouTube app then cast video.

If you go on freaktab you will find a custom firmware which implements the android TV OS.  Will try it out one day.
