I have the same problem with KODI, movies and everything in general look very dark. Seems like this  ...

Record a very very short 4k video by yourself (resolution: 3840x2160), with you smartphone. Copy this video in the internal sd of tv box. Then, from Play Store, install app called Macrodroid.
With this app you can automatically open (play) a file at every startup. Let's play the short video you recorded, and problem solved.

Would it be possible to accomplish this by playing a 4K video in Kodi? Do you know of any addons that have 4K videos?

http://www.bee-link.com/Beelink-999-1-2.html

There are many people who have this box who don't visit this forum. Also there are people such as myself who aren't very tech savvy and have no idea what that poster is talking about..

I think a more reliable fix is needed..

For now i just increased the brightness lvl of my kodi movies to 65% (from 50%, had to turn off Allow hardware acceleration - MediaCodec (Surface) in order to get the contrast/brightness options) but the color looks unnatural and there's still some hint of darkness to the videos. That being said, when I'm browsing Kodi it's still extremely dark.

@beelink
In this post - http://www.bee-link.com/forum.ph ... 8&fromuid=14363 - it is being reported as resolved on the S912 ........
Is it possible to have this fix implemented in S905X MiniMXIII II  in next firmware release for this box?

Guys, why don't you just use Kodi 17.3?

or LibreElec
