Restarts after turning on/Kodi crashing

Been using this box for a few months. After the latest update, whenever I turn the box on it will freeze after a few seconds and the intro video starts. Then freezes again and, once more, I get the intro video. Then it stabilizes. Does this everytime I turn it on. Why?

Kodi is also crashing after the latest fw update. After watching a stream on Kodi I'm redirected to the OS initial screen with a message "Kodi has stopped responding".

Anyone got this? How have you solved it?

mine does that too. had to restart Kodi 3 or 4 times to watch a movie as it crashed on me.  I also got the same message.

I am about to say heck no more to these android boxes that are not worth the hassle . I thought this was going to be better than the s905 boxes.....

install back previous version firmware...  remove kodi and install SPMC instead

or go for custom ROM

Don't know if you've done this before, but I have no issues with playback and crashes after doing this. Open up KODI and head to settings - Video Acceleration (it might differ because I can't remember precisely). There should be a number of codec renderings. You'll see Amcodec rendering. Turn that option off. Then restart KODI and try a few streams.

I have the latest version of SPMC and when I want to quit SPMC this one marks a pause temp, then crash.

Spmc is no longer reliable for me. The 109 update and qodi have much better with just accelaration/picture tone not quite right. In apps it looks like kodi 17 is installed. At the moment using the main addons for TV series, films and sport it works well. Live TV streaming can be temperamental and requires messing about with chip acceleration settings.

I am beginning to accept every thing about this box after all i am stuck with it, the only thing that is really annoying for me is the black(dark)  screen with kodi, i have Spmc on it too, but i would prefer Kodi.
