Well... firstly, the description to flash the firmware was not properly explained for Android 6 firmwares back then... even now there are new GT1 owners making mistakes flashing the wrong firmware for Android 6 and 7. :lol

The second reason was that I just wanted to see whether the wrong firmware would hard brick the device to the point it can no longer be recovered... I only know that flashing a custom rooted kernel thats not designed for the hardware version would brick the device real bad... something I read of course, never tested. (these days there are stable kernels for this device... back then it was all experimental builds)

I've purchased my GT1 Ultimate mid November 2017 and android works o.k - but when starting Kodi it freezes showing the massage "process" and Lighthouse" stopped responding.. The only thing left is pull the plug. I have done factory re-setting (a few times) , Uninstalled Kodi to be replaced by XMBC (a few times)  Now that I have spend 6 weeks trying and reading posting like these once hoping to find a solution, I give. Unfortunately I purchased the box through Lazada without any guarantee. Conclusion: The Beelink GT1 Ultimate goes in the waste bin and instead I ordered (not with Lazada) a R99 4K Android TV Box 4
/32GB RK3399 CPU!  I an definitely cured unless...Bee-Link comes with a solution for this ongoing problem which will be understandable for a normal user and not a geek!

Sorry for late reply - how do I find and install this update 707N0?

Try this worked for me.

just add "libamcodec.so" to /system/etc/public.libraries.txt.
