I don't like to fucus on that stuff all that much, but what you're doing is the more level-headed way to go about it. With that monster fan, you should have NO issues with ram temps. HWinfo had me concerned about the ram with the unmodified case (in the high 90's), though the storage never got that hot. I never see the ram go over the low 80's now, so I would say mine is consistent to the reductions others have seen. The cpu/gpu cooling didn't noticeably improve with the top hole, but the sound of the fan at high speeds did significantly. The high-pitched frequency of the air moving through those small perforations gets to me.

With the laser cut design from the video that was all in Chinese would it be best to block up the grill that is under the fins and only have the grill directly under the fan?

my laser cut bottom plate arrived today and I have sheets of pc dust filters that I can custom cut so I could add additional layers as a way of blocking the cuttouts of the bottom plate that is located under the fins.

No bottom plate with 5mm standoffs in the existing screw holes works great for keeping the ram and underside cool (easiest solution). I ran mine for a week that way, but it felt unfinished to me. Although the plastic sub-cover provides plenty of protection/structure, I drilled a 50mm hole in the aluminium base plate where the fan is located.

I think there's general confusion within this thread as to the direction of airflow in the GTR7 system fan. It blows onto the main board, not towards the base plate. You are right about the "air can't get out part", but it's because they're trying to use intake and exhaust from the same source (the ventilated sides of the unit).

I think we need Beelink to provide documentation on the cooling / thermals design we have labels inside for components it would be cool, to know which way air is intended to move and whats intake and exhaust.

IDK WTF you're talking about here (reminds me of talking to my buddy's Scottish father), but anyway, keep the ram cool by any method (perhaps heatsink kit), monster fan, drill a hole, custom plexiglass, standoffs, oem replacement from manufacturer... It works great with a relatively minor oversite.   Now if I can just get my hands on a driver...
