Did anyone noticed that the max CPU Speed is only 1.5GHz now on this new Firmware, instead of 2GHz,  ...

The CPU clock speed shows 1.51 GHz here as well I don't remember what it was before, but there doesn't seem to be any performance loss.  beelink literature states "Amlogic S912 Octa Core ARM Cortex-A53 CPU up to 2GHz(DVFS)".  CNX did a comparison between the recent Amlogic chips, I'll post the link if I find it.

LINK: http://www.cnx-software.com/2016 ... -ghz-as-advertised/

Doesn't seem to be a difference in performance between 1.5, 1.75 & 2GHz.  Maybe it'd run hotter?  No idea.

As for your second part what's the benefit of a 64-bit OS running on a box like this?  Would it need more RAM or run hotter?  I'm genuinely curious.

Basically the s912 doesn't run at 2ghz, it can't do that.
It's just showing the real values now, but nothing has changed.

Why to have a 64-bit box if it's to use with a 32-bit OS? This make absolutely nonsense.
A 64-bit CPU is to use with a 64-bit OS, so simple than this, 64-bit ARMV8 Architecture is more performant than the older 32-bit ARMV7..., Nowadays everything is running 64-bit, even my 2 year old phone.

Here are the issues with 105MO Update (running on S/N S912)

1) default Chinese system language

2) Image too dark (Playing a 4K clip doesn't fix the issue)

3) Shutdown and Sleep doesn't work (Box stays On)

4) Deep color mode has to be turned on every boot

5) KODI crashes when trying to close

6) Wi-Fi data drops (tested with file transfer and local Plex Stream)

7) Temps are high again - 65c idle

I have same S912,

I did factory reset after upgrade. Didn't see default Chinese language. Shutdown not working, but sleep working fine. KODI crash before factory reset (Also erased all data). You probably want give reset/erase data a try.

A 64-bit  ...

You seem to think I disagree on having a 64-bit OS on this box.  I don't.  I'm just looking for clarification.

Many of these Android TV Boxes run 32-bit OS on a 64-bit chip, there must be a reason for it besides laziness.

From my reading, a 64-bit OS will give slightly faster data transfer rates between processor and components.  This box is already pretty fast so what's the benefit of 64-bit?  Is it worth the effort to switch to a 64-bit OS?

I think we'll only see a 64-bit OS on these boxes when they start putting more than 4GB RAM in them.  Until then I don't understand the benefit.

Hopefully someone else here can give us the benefits of having it on a box like this.
