Yes, TWRP can use a USB mouse or keyboard, but not the remote control.  You'll need to attach one.

As for instructions, to install the AML burn package, I recommend you follow the links provided for the Amlogic USB Burning Tool and BootcardMaker.  Easier yet, just install the OTA updater in TWRP as I described earlier in this thread.

No, but I can guarantee that if you install one of my Nano or Stock Nexus custom ROMs that you will get the latest version of Google Play Store from Open GApps.  http://freaktab.com/forum/tv-pla ... ock-nano-nexus-roms

Are you planning to include amlogic brightness fix in the next release?

Amlogic hasn't release a true fix for their codec yet, but if I can find an elegant workaround I'd be happy to include it.  I'm not interested in bundling custom apps with a whole bunch of tweaker settings, though.  Really, it's a nuisance to have to play a few seconds of a 4K video to resolve the issue, but I don't find that I reboot the box all that often.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with that specific app, but most APKs designed for tablets and phones can be sideloaded and will appear in the App Drawer.  That's not true for all app, however, because the Android TV platform has some fundamental differences.  For example, the SystemUI.apk in Android TV doesn't show the status bar or notifications in the same way as it would on a tablet.
