Hello there,
1, It is recommended that you can try to download the latest version of the system ...
I've tried resetting the BIOS by unplugging the battery, VRAM can no longer be changed from 4GB. No matter what value is chosen within the BIOS, the VRAM gets set to 4GB regardless... even if I choose "2GB" within the BIOS, it ends up getting set to "4GB" by the time Windows boots. I believe this has to do with the AMD "memory optimizer" in their latest Radeon software, AMD attempts to control these settings through their driver instead of the BIOS having control over the amount of VRAM available to the iGPU. Open the AMD Radeon App > Settings > Performance > Tuning - there are 2 options, "productivity" and "gaming." Productivity is supposed to set VRAM to 4GB, Gaming to 8GB. These options do NOT work and will not make any difference no matter how they're set. If "Gaming" is chosen, the system will restart, go back to "productivity" and VRAM stays at 4GB.
BIOS version below...
In order for these settings to work properly, the Ser7 BIOS is going to need to be updated. The BIOS hasn't been updated since Jan 10th, 2024, which was before AMD released their 24.x.x Radeon driver versions, and AMFM2 "Fluid Frames" functionality within their driver. From what I've read, Lenovo, HP, etc. using AMD 780M iGPU's all had to update the BIOS for systems using the AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS w/780M iGPU to allow users of their hardware to properly adjust VRAM settings.
