Booted up into Android and updated to firmware build: 007P0_lp | Released on: April 23rd, 2020. Weat ...

MINI GT-1
My S/N 95X2.
Very confused about firmware updates.
I understand there is 2 different memory types  DDR4 or LPDDR4 deciding which firmware update to use.
How do I find out which memory my box has and which is the latest firmware available
Thanks

Hi,
I purchased a "Beelink GT1 MINI TV Box with Voice Remote/Black, 4GB DDR4+64GB ROM US PLUG/SN: 95X2HBNF80609" on 11/02/2019.

I have installed USB_Burning_Tool_V2.1.6.8.

I have followed the exact instructions from "GT1 mini Brush tutorial english 20181120.pdf'.

After starting the USB_Burning_Tool and importing the image of the firmware (GT1_Mini_007P0_lp.img), I connect my GT1-mini via USB cable and connect it to the right-side USB port on GT1-mini, it will temporarily connect and I see "Connect success" under status for 1-2 seconds then it quickly goes away.

I've tried all 3 USB ports on my pc and re-installing the USB_Burning_Tool_V2.1.6.8 which seems to successfully install the drivers but I've seen no different behavior when connecting the GT1-mini to my pc.

Any suggestions?

Thank you,
Jeff

All right...well the upgrade process was annoying to say the least.

I'm writing this here in case anybody else runs into the same issues as me and is frustrated.

Read their little guide carefully first:
GT1  mini Brush tutorial  english 20181120.pdf

A few things that weren't entirely obvious to me:

1. I don't know what the hell the OTA update thing (within the OS of the GT1 mini) even does but I've never seen it find an update since day 1 of owning the GT1 mini.
2. One would think one could apply whatever updates via USB or SD card but the SD card update method is for "small" updates according to some other post I read on this forum.
3. Unplug GT1-mini from everything (power, HDMI, ethernet, USB drive).
4. Unplug all USB devices from your pc.
5. Start USB Burning Tool (what they call the program which updates the firmware via USB cable for some reason).
6. Import firmware file - it doesn't say success or give you any kinda confirmation that it's "loaded" but the little box goes away after loading and you'll see at the bottom of the window the firmware file location.
7. Click Start in USB Burning Tool (notice you haven't connected the GT1 mini yet and that's important). Watch homeboy do it here in the sideways video:
GT1 mini USB.mp4
8. Connect USB cable to whichever USB port on your pc that the program see's as HUB1-1. This will take some experimenting to figure out which one it is.
9. Connect other end of USB cable to right-side port of GT1 mini - not the left-side (since we all have USB to USB cables just laying around - I had to specifically order one for this).
10. At this point, it starts updating and a successful one will take approximately 3:30 minutes.
11. Until I followed the exact instructions above, my update process timed out several times - the errors in the log file actually said "timeout". I imagine if I never would have gotten it to 100% update, this would have left the GT1 mini in a bricked state - which is lovely.

Your best friend in all things GT1 mini,
Jeff

I have gt1 mini s905x2 LPDDR4 version 4/64gb with android 8.1 working without issues a year now.
What are benefits od flashing 9.0 firmware? Is it worthy to flash it?
Repeating, i have no issues at all, and 9.0 changelog is not big. I am in doubt..
Everithing works on 8.1.. kodi, all stuff i need..
Should it be upgraded more, maybe ota if i flash this version form 4.2020? Should be it updated ota after flashing?
