It seems that somewhere in the firmware Beelink is forcing Kodi to use strange parameters. Why is the resolution choice missing from Kodi? Why is Live TV confused with software codecs? It all points to crappy firmware and tweaked Kodi settings which are not optimized and/or working.

Same problem with my GT1 box, so bad that video is choppy, I will have to go back to my old MQX S85 box where there is not such a problem.

Beelink is not giving the right support to this box, I was expecting something better from them, at least they should open root so someone else from the comunity can help.

Beelink,
Any news on this? Will the problem be fixed by itself? :@

Two days ago I was finding the video on android and kodi choppy.  Yesterday it played perfectly.  I'm thinking it was one of the network settings I modified using the 'easy advanced settings' addon was too aggressive.  I then changed the buffer mode from 3 to 2 and all was good (standard mode is 1) .  Not sure if this was what fixed it but live TV worked perfectly yesterday, will see again tonight. You can also change the buffer mode cache size and modify more settings.  You can find videos on youtube on settings to change using easy advanced settings addon on youtube.  Worth a try.  You can always set everything back to default and remove the advanced setting, so it is worth trying.

Buffering is not the problem for Live TV.
The problem is that GT1 uses software decoding ff-h264 for live TV instead of amc-h264 which is used for all other video.
The solution is very simple but it needs configuration in the firmware.
It's not that the hardware is not capable, it's the software and Beelink optimization that is causing the problems. Another example is the missing options for resolution settings in Kodi, that is also forced by firmware and totally unnecessary, compared to other S912 boxes which have all Kodi config open.

They need to root the firmware and open it up so that other developers can make Libreelec or similar work on GT1.

IMO GT1 not using at all hardware decoding with Kodi Live TV. h265/hevc in 4k playing in software mode too, as i can see... Very, very  disappointed :((

beelink says that new firmware will be released next week OTA. Cross my fingers in hope that new firmware  solve our issue... live TV is unusable until that bug will be solved...
