I really would like to install this firmware on my GT 1 A912 device. I am having some troubles though..

On some other forum the Superceleron rom was highly recommended. I installed it but I really disliked it. Netflix did not work, it was laggy as hell and many apps that worked on the stock version did not work anymore (Ziggo GO - dutch tv broadcasting app). Obviously I was very dissapointed.

So I looked for an updated version of the stock rom and stumbled upon this forum. I might accidentally tried to install the wrong ROM. I tried this one http://www.bee-link.com/forum.ph ... &extra=page%3D1

I was unable to install it. I thought that de TWRP recovery that came with the superceleron was causing troubles so I tried to flash the recovery.img, which was succesfull.

After is was flashed I tried to install this rom: http://www.bee-link.com/forum.ph ... &extra=page%3D1

Again I stumbled on 2 thing:
1. I cannot get into recovery mode anymore
2. http://t.cn/RsUtGHB this link seems to be dead...

I am using the sd card method. Can anybody help me with getting a functioning recovery? Thanks!

Hello, i have a Beelink GT1 A912 16GB still with stock firmware 6.0.1 Build GT1_113M0, i want to install the latest firmware which i suppose is the one at the beginning of this page, GT1_708N0.
Can i go straight from GT1_113M0 to GT1_708N0 or i need some intermediate steps?
Also, i dont have a male to male USB cable, only have the microSD card but i see i cant use the SD method unless i have a more recent firmware.
So the question is: is there a way to upgrade my old firmware to the new one without buying the USB male to male cable?

When you upgrading to a major Android version, example; v8.x.y.z to v9.x.y.z, you must use the Amlogic USB Burning Tool method. This of course will cause all customizations to be lost, including data files like photos, videos, music, documents and also apps and games that was installed.

When one can use the Beelink SD Card packages, which will leave most customizations and data untouched. However you must NOT be trying to jump major version. So upgrading Android from v8.1 to Android v8.3.7.3 for instances, SD Card package is good to be used.

You can use Micro-SD card method to upgrade instead of having to use another PC and Male to Male USB cable. You cannot use Beelink SD Card package, you have to use the EPROM file or what is referred to on this original post as USB cable firmware. All customizations, all data will of course be deleted same as if you using Amlogic USB Burning Tool method. Use the following article for the steps;

How to unbrick / revive any Amlogic devices.

Thanks a lot, im going to follow the instruction in the link you posted, i dont need to keep any configuration or data on the device anyway.

Edit: i tried to follow the tutorial but im stuck at this point:
I launched Amlogic_SDcardMaker_BootcardMaker_burnBootCard_v1.0.1
Choose disk: i selected the SD one, 8gb
To Partitoin and Format: i checkmarked the YES box.
Choose your bin files:  it only lets me select .bin files so i renamed GT1_708N0_AP6255.IMG to .bin
It does the partition and format phase, then it stops a moment and then i get a "success" message but the card is still empty.

Edit nr.2: i figured i didnt have the right software,  Amlogic_SDcardMaker_BootcardMaker_burnBootCard_v1.0.1 was linked here http://www.bee-link.com/forum.php?mod=viewthread&tid=44927
but i see i need Amlogic Burn Card Maker v2.0.2 that i found with google, downloaded it and it copied the image correctly,

The software asked for two other options though:
erase_bootloader
and
erase_flash
should i checkmark the yes box?

Not sure how I managed to use link to the old version... Anyways been updated to point to the right download package.

Also if the guide mentions nothing about other changes, leave other settings to defaults. :)

Thanks a lot.
I installed GT1_708N0_AP6255 but while looking around in the forum i also found this one:
GT1_709N0_AP6255_20180719
which looks to be compatible with my GT1 A912, is it a good idea to install 709?
