Yes, it happens also with 2.4GHz.
Point is, if I had the chance to use the box so close to the router, I'd use a wire connection ;-)
Wireless is supposed to be useful even if the signal strength is not at full power and if I cannot use it near a tv set, it's simply useless. Nice piece of hardware, but useless. :)
I don't think is an interference problem, first because there are no potential source of interference around, and second because the connection drop would be intermittent, not so regular. It never last more than a couple minutes.
I've never been able to start a movie with Kodi, never able to start a streaming with Netflix or Amazon, never able to browse Internet for more than a couple minutes before getting the message the network was unreachable.
At the same time and at the same location my LG phone works flawlessly, obviously attached at the same wi-fi network.
I know, phones usually cost more than an Android box, but they have also more hardware (screen, cameras, 3g/4g comms, ...), and I believe nowadays nobody would buy any phone with the smallest doubt that wi-fi would work... if not, I'm sure everyone would take the phone back to the shop.
That's what bother me more, nowadays some function are given for granted, but I saw many people is having the same issue with this boxes.
Right now, I'd like to return the product, but for Amazon is too late. I bought it through Amazon from SHENZHEN AZW TECHNOLOGY CO.,LTD... do you think they would accept a return? :loveliness:
