I confirm that installing the 64bit Windows10 provided in the link fails with bcdboot error. This is because it calls for a 32bit version of the programme that cannot run with this bogus 64bit firmware. I tried too to run the command manually and complete the installation, but then it fails to create the EFI directory and it does not boot.

My BT3 has thus become a brick. No way to downgrade to 32bit firmware too.

Unfortunately it seems to me that "BT3 64bit  Operating System Download"  contains a 32bit version of Windows 10. Even if the "installer" boot correctly in the 64bit mode, the WIM recovery image (the one that contain the OS the will be copied on the eMMC) contains a Window 10 32bit version, not the 64bit.

If you need to revert the 32bit: in the "BT3 64bit  Operating System Download" mega drive there's a folder called BIOS. It contains BIOS v011 which is a 32bit BIOS. You can flash this old BIOS from the UEFI Shell.
- Put "BLBT3V11.bin" on an USB stick from the BIOS folder
- Get "AfuEfix64.efi" from AMI website. Since now the BIOS is a 64bit version you need the 64bit EFI executable not the 32bit provided in the "BIOS" folder. Put it on the same USB stick
- Boot and enter the UEFI shell, mount the drive (I don't remember the command, I have to check, but if you google you should get some clue)
- From the USB mounted drive run 'AfuEfix64.efi BLBT3V11.bin /p /b /n /x'

This procedure worked multiple time on my BT3, when I was trying to make the "BT3 64bit  Operating System Download" working, until I realized that it's a 64bit version instead (it works well with the 32bit EFI BIOS !!) and I had to revert to the 32bit BIOS. Installing Windows 64bit using media tools works great but I was unable to find all the drivers.

PS I had to remove links because the moderation filter. But with google you should be able to find the AMI/APTIO BIOS utility

https://mega.nz/#F%21swEWwD5Q%21-ZLaG8g8r_qfhb_Zx6TgxA   one of the folders contain 32 bit bios

The problem is that the BIOS provided:

1) is one version earlier (0.11)
2) it cannot be flashed back using windoze tools because they refuse to do it.

I managed to flash the 32bit 0.12 back (I saved it before flashing the 64bit BIOS) using Linux flashtool.
Practically it is best to boot using a Live Ubuntu Mate image on a usb drive, gain root access, apt-get install flashtool, at which point using the save 32bit image you saved flash it back using flashtool.

I was afraid to brick the BT3 when I did because I was not sure it would support the chipset.

It worked, I have my BT3 32bit back working.

If you intend to install a Windows 64 bit version ... don't. It isn't worth it. It is worth flashing the new firmware only if you want to run Linux.

Beside it would be nice if we could have a 0.16 32bit version that includes booting when power is applied. It is really annoying having to reach for that small button behind the monitor every time I need to turn the BT3 on!!!

Yes, it's older. Can I kindly ask you for a copy of 0.12 too?

Anyway, using the EFI shell and the AfuEfi tools allows you to flash any firmawre without the need of a livecd with linux. You only need to use the executable for the right version of EFI (32 or 64 bit)

+1 for a 32bit BIOS with the same features as 0.16

Beelink should rather provide it, I hope they will wake up and give us some support.
I would expect to get a 32bit 0.16 BIOS that includes the option to boot when the power is applied.

It would be better if Beelink could give us a BIOS that supports both 32 and 64 bit OSs, as every PC on this world ... :(

Very unhappy with Beelink to date.

Is there a way that you, Version 0.12 share with us or send me a link via PM?
