When my SER8 wakes from sleep the audio is very quiet.  At first I assumed the audio port was not waking up but found that it is just very quiet.

I am using the Realtek audio port pluged into my audio reciever.  I have used both the front and back ports on PC.
I have tried deleting and reinstalling the Realtek driver and still not fixed.
The only way I have found to get full audio is to reboot the PC.
I am hoping someone has come across this issue and knows a fix.
Thanks

Try to disable Fast Boot from the BIOS, and also disable it in Windows. Those "fast boot" thing do NOT reset nor reconfig devices, this may be why the sound is not working properly.

Thanks for this.  It fixed my issue.  Installed a slightly older driver.
I did have problems following the installation instructions.  I was able to get arround by creating a command window that had administrator rights and ran from there.
Cheers

Thanks for this tip.  Although the older driver seems to be working, I will apply this fix as well.

I was having the same issue and this fixed it. But now in sleep mode I get a loud popping noise from the speakers. Scared the hell out of me the 1st time, now I have to power off instead of sleep.
