Hello.
I did the following tests:
1 - I tested more than one USB 4 cable on the USB 4 port above the GTR's headphone jack. It didn't work.
2 - I tested more than one HDMI cable on the monitor. It didn't work.
My EGPU with RTX 3070 worked in the first few months after purchasing the GTR7 Pro, but it wasn't working perfectly, as it worked when it wanted to.
At the time, Beelink support told me to reset the BIOS using the CMOS button. I did this a few times and it worked, but now this procedure no longer works. In fact, even if it did work, it wouldn't be a pleasant procedure to do (I didn't buy the GTR7 Pro to use my EGPU this way).
Beelink has already asked me to update the AMD drivers using AMD's own application (including VGA). I did this and despite having the most recent drivers, it did not solve the GPU problem and it also brought me a new problem (fixed after installing the factory version of AMD drivers for the GTR7 Pro) which was that the GTR7 Pro did not turn off the power button after shutting down Windows.
There are several reports of problems with eGPU using NVIDIA cards on the forum. I also read that there is a more recent BIOS update for the GTR7 Pro with fixes for the USB port for external video cards.
Would this BIOS update for my GTR7 Pro help solve my problem? If Beelink says yes, I will send the BIOS version of my GTR7 Pro below and await guidance on the next steps to solve this. |
