GTR7 Pro MAX TDP

Hi All hope someone can help.


Just got the GTR7 Pro and I have noticed that the MAX TDP shown in CPU-Z is 45W, how does one get it to the advertised 65W?

Is there a BIOS setting? Utility?

What am I missing.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

The maximum through the setting can be adjusted to 54W, if you want to see the machine to reach the maximum efficiency of 65W, it needs to be seen when the machine is running at high speed.

Just for interest sakes, I don't seem to have smart shift control in my BIOS.



Is there a newer version I should be on?

After reading the tutorial - under SMU Common Options - there is no SmartShift Control listed in the choices.

What am I missing?

GTR7Pro with v30 BIOS

Change SPL Control to Manual
Change Sustained Power Limit to 54000

Change PPT Control to Manual
Change Fast PPT Limit to 54000
Change Slow PPT Limit to 54000
Change Slow PPT Time Constant to 54000

YES? - NO? - I'm just guessing here.

I should not have to guess.


PLEASE UPDATE your tutorial.

You can go to Google to check the tool, because what we found here is Chinese software, it is not convenient to recommend to you.

Are we ever going to get back the advertised TDP of 65W? No, "maximum efficiency" of 65W is not what we were sold.

Hi i have the normal GTR7 im on BIOS Version 29. The Mini PC has a Power Limit of 54W at Start. I tried your Setting and used 65000 but it didt not changed anything (i test with Cinebench to see, how much Power the Mini PC use).

But i found a Setting in the BIOS to change the PC to Performance Mode and than it uses 65W
> BIOS
> Advanced
> OEM Features Management
> Power Limit Settings
> Balance Mode (thats 54W) or Performance Mode (thats 65 W)
