Hi,
I am using Windows 11 on SER MAX 5800H.
When I launch HWInfo, sometimes the OS freezes during the boot process (where the progress bar increases).

Is there anyone who has something similar happen to them?

Also, does anyone know a solution?

The problem only occurs with HWinfo. This does not occur while other software is running.
I reinstalled HWinfo, but it didn't help.
It also operates stably even when the PC is under high load.

I would be very happy if you could get some help.
Kind regards.

Maybe is stuck at some sensor, did try to leave it run and finish or you just reset the PC? Does it unfreeze or not?

For some reason, I feel like this happens frequently when I'm writing on the browser (Edge).

I don't understand.

Could it be due to a software conflict?

Hello there, We use that software too, no that issue.  Pls check it if it is the latest version.
1.Ensure that you have the latest version of HWInfo installed. Check the HWInfo website or the software’s official support forums for any available updates or patches that might address compatibility issues with Windows 11.

2.Run HWInfo in compatibility mode. Right-click on the HWInfo shortcut or executable file, select “Properties,” go to the “Compatibility” tab, and enable compatibility mode for a previous version of Windows (such as Windows 10). Apply the changes and try running HWInfo again to see if it resolves the freezing issue.

3.Disable any unnecessary background applications or startup programs that might conflict with HWInfo. Sometimes, conflicting software can cause instability issues. You can use the Task Manager or a third-party startup manager to disable non-essential programs from launching at startup.

You try accessing your BIOS settings and disabling any hardware monitoring or sensor-related options. This may prevent the conflict with the boot process.
Have a nice day with crossy road
