Firmware 106, KODI 16.1. Dark screens are gone. Was and missing, already two weeks. And most guys already so long ago - after you install the 106 firmware.
KODI brakes after exit or in stopping video - YES
Dark Screen - NO.

No. Dark Screens are not gone. Beelink needs to enable full RGB support configuration on the BOX for it to be able to use to the users that still have that problem. For some users it was corrected because maybe diferente HDMI and RGB settings on their TV.
For my Samsung LED tv the only workaround is to open a 4k video even tough it's not a 4k TV.
Also everytime I turn off the TV I need to turn off HDMI-CEC on the box and then on to be able to use hdmi-CEC. (maybe box is unable to get new hdmi-cec address.

Hi, this page gives some useful insight on dark scenes and black (or color) levels in general, with a link to some testing and calibration material:
http://kodi.wiki/view/Video_levels_and_color_space

I can't try it at the moment but I think it would be interesting...

After playing a 4K video to work around the dark playback bug, I now have a black bar on the bottom.  Is anyone else seeing that?

Running Android Kodi v17 "Krypton" Beta 3, tested on two GT1's with v106 firmware.

Agree 100%. These are my issues also with my Samsung LED tv and CEC except I have to unplug the GT1 from my TV. I also have a Raspberry Pi 2 running LibreElec without any issues whatsoever so hopefully the next FW update is the answer to all of this.

Well, I don't have the Twitch menu, and so I'm not sure you grab a screenshot on this device.  However, here's a couple shots from my phone.  The first shows the full-screen UI, and the next is during playback.  That doesn't exist until after you play a 4K video.
