DTS-HD TRUEHD etc Passtrough Raw

When can we expect a GT1 firmware that fixes the passthrough issue?
I am trying 106 with SPMC and it does not work. Researching the web yields lots of info about lack of proper Android 6 firmware with Amlogic chipsets.
I am already regretting buying this infernal box, I should have spent the extra and picked up an NVidia Shield TV instead as it's the only box with proper support.

KODI 16.1 from Market. amcodec - on. Pastrough audio : DTS - OK!!! (GT1-hdmi-reciever-hdmi-TV) - do it, pls.
Firmware 106.

I suppose I should have put it in the original post, I have 106 and I have both Kodi 16.1 amd the latest SPMC and I have tried all permutations of the passthrough settings but no it does not work. I have an ONKYO TX-RZ800 and all connections are via HDMI 2 cables, 5.1 works but 7.1 does NOT work.
I have checked kodi forums and other forums too. I am not alone, the android 6 firmware on AMLOGIC devices is a sorry state.

I'd like to buy Beelink GT1 Ultimate but I need to know if DTS-HD and DD True HD work with passthrough with the last firmware and last kodi update.

I have an Onkyo RZ800 with 5.1. I'd like to enjoy a good movie sound.
