Firmware update

We are very sorry for this incident. Before the firmware was released, we tested that the firmware was normal and released the OTA update. However, we did not anticipate the occurrence of this problem. Now we have found the problem and will solve it immediately.

The following statement is for the machine corresponding to the following Serial number

GTKING: B922 and 922X
GTKINGPRO: 922H

At present, we have found the problem of OTA update, there are a few important points to notify

1. Now users who have successfully refreshed to the latest firmware via USB or SD card, please note that your next firmware update needs to be completed by burning the firmware via USB or SD card instead of OTA, otherwise the black screen will appear next time.

Or you can re-flash the normal 919P0 firmware so that you can update it via OTA in the future
We will release the normal 919P0 firmware before next week

2. For users who have a black screen due to OTA update, please use a USB cable or SD card to burn the previous（GTKING 912P0/GTKING PRO910P0) firmware
If you use the USB cable to burn and the PC cannot recognize the machine, please note that
You need to connect the USB3.0 port of the PC and TV box by USB cable
You need a short USB cable
You can uninstall the tool and install it again
You can change a PC to burn it
The USB cable has a higher burning success rate

3. If it is the USB cable burning firmware and the burning tool progress bar is stuck, please send me a email to tuiguang1@azw-online.com

I tried to update yesterday my B922 (through Android menu) and after the update the box did not reboot.
Now I am trying to recover but nothing works. I tried to use 921P0.rar file but download does not even start with USB burning tool.
I also tried the sd card method so I copied the 3 files on a blank sd card, inserted the sd into the box and switched it on but LEDs remain green and nothing happens.
Is there a way to do a full factory reset of the box or anybody could help?

BTW all the links pointing on sharepoint do not work for me. I assume it would be good to check the links for the files are still valid.

Hi for my GT King box, I updated with local download, it went through, but the ethnet wire connection loss, it cannot be recognised, HDCP unable to configured automatically. My box type is SA9X.all previous versions no issue with wire connection only this time with 919P0. Pls help to look into it and make sure its fixed when new version releases. Thank you.

WiFi setting with 919P0 is no issue. But I still prefer wire connection.

I have a S922X and managed to install 912P0_lp firmware after my player went black after OTA update.

On OTA it has now came up with a new version Date 26-5-2021
version number: galilei-userdebug 9 PPR1.180610.011 20210526 test-keys_20210526-0929
version size: 671.30 MB

Is this okay to install?

or will i get black screen again?

In developer options there is a HDCP setting you might want to check. Sometimes during updates some settings in developer options get changed by accident. Worth a try.
