Hi

Hoping someone can help. Have been using my GT King Pro for a few months and been very happy with it.
Super fast and great for all my TV and media needs.
Suddenly, about 1 week ago, the box has no output at all - there was just a bright white led in the front panel, eg, normal "On" condition,
but nothing else happens.  No display - no sound, and it just stays this way.
I have tested the output of the PSU and it is OK - just over 12 Volts.

I tried to reset system using the reset button ( hold in, insert power cord ), but nothing changes - The light stays on and that is all.
I cannot boot from the CoreELEC SD card either.  I have had other ATV boxes and have restored firmware to them without a problem.
If I can get to a recovery menu, I should be fine - I have the stock image file ready to re-flash - but I cannot get to the menu.

Ironically, this is the first one I have been happy with out of the box - I have not needed to change anything - perfect for my needs.

I know that in some ATV boxes, it is possible to bridge 2 pins to reset the NAND memory - is there such a process for the GT King Pro?
As I cannot get the box in to Android recovery mode, I do not know what else to do.
I would like to recover it, as it has been the best I have ever purchased.

Can anyone help please ?

thanks in advance,

M.

May I ask if your screen displays "No Signal" or a black screen appears.

Could you try to refresh the firmware? Please follow the guidelines of the forum

Hi - Have prepared the SD card as described, but as I mentioned - I cannot boot from SD card.
HDMI does not initialise - "NO SIGNAL" -
Inserted SD card with 3 files downloaded and inserted card to GT King Pro
I pressed and held reset pin - inserted power cord and presses red power button.
Nothing - no output to TV - White LED at front is lit - nothing else happens.
Have tried male USB to pc using AMLOGIC software, but ATV box does not appear in the software, therefore I cannot flash the IMG file to it.
I am stuck - I am capable to perform a reset, however, I cannot get the ATV box to get to a stage to accept such an update. This is my problem - hope you can suggest something else for me to try?

Take your .img file put it on root of sd card and rename it recovery.img Put card in the sd slot and plug power in while holding the reset button in for 15 seconds or so and it should start into a recovery mode where you will select that revovery.img from sd card partition and select install, should start flashing img file. Mine took about 5-10 min before I knew it worked. This is the only way to recover when in a bootloop. In order for sd card ota method to work device must boot to get to ota update app.

Yes mine is working flawlessly now. I tried everything for days to fix mine, it wasn't until I found a thread here on the forum that worked. I'll link the thread I used.
