There is the possibility to arrange the brightness with the application, but it's pretty crap, not a real solution. Something to do with the hardware of the CPU, only the manufacturer can fix it.
Superceleron firmware works really well. I found V5 to be very smooth. I also found his first V8 firmware to be on the dark side to. He has also released updates to V8 that brighten things up.
My opinion only. His firmware is superior to stock firmware.

And dont solve? wtf you can control brightness and contrast and even in kodi you can do it... man some ppl are never satisfied... you get what you paid for...!
